Dear Members, Welcome back!

As we head into another summer season at the beach, we’re looking forward to reconnecting as a community and making the most of the months ahead.

🏆 Accomplishments since Annual General Meeting

• Reinforced the underpinning of the Plaza to prevent further damage 

• Graded Beach Road 

• Produced a Formal Budget and detailed breakdown of all revenues and expenses   

 📌 Important Community Notes 

 🏗️ Shared Spaces & Structures  

No alterations, amendments, or additions may be made to the raft, boat rack, plaza, or notice boards without prior approval from the LRA Board. These are shared community assets, and consistency is important for safety and fairness.

 🗳️ Membership Structure Discussion   At this year’s Annual General Meeting, we will be discussing whether to maintain the current membership structure or move to a model of one membership per property. Community input and participation will be important.

💧 Lake Water Quality   According to the latest test results taken at various locations of our lake, our lake is healthy. Details are available at the LAMAC’s official website. 

https://www.facebook.com/lamac327/ is a resource that provides many details regarding the health of Lake MacDonald. LAMAC seeking support for more municipal signs regarding environmental concerns for Lake MacDonald and in particular avoiding the introduction of invasive species like Eurasian Milfoil. 

 🚗 Speed Limit   We ask that all drivers including Golf carts and ATVs, to please respect the speed limits at all times. Please enter Beach Road slowly & respect our fellow member’s properties.

 🐕 Dogs   We ask that everyone respects the Municipal by-law, to ensure your dogs remain within the boundaries of your property, in public places you must keep your dog on a leash (maximum length: 1.85 meters / 6 ft) and under your control.

🎆 Fireworks   We remind everyone that fireworks are strictly prohibited throughout the entire territory unless a permit has been issued by the municipality of Harrington.

🙋 Board Vacancies We are currently looking to fill the Membership Director and Public Relation roles. If you’re interested in getting more involved in the community, please reach out to a Board member.

🏖️ Pleasure Craft Licensing

🔧 Projects in the Works

• 🚧 Speed bumps will be installed on Beach Road to ensure drivers slow down  

• 🛟 Beach safety: we will mark the corners of the swimming area with reflective tape and lights on the buoys  

• ⚠️ Public Safety: installation of new signage to reduce speed  

• 🌐 Communications: Updates to the www.lrabeach.com web site and bilingual content
