AGM Meeting Notes - 2026

Lakeview Residents Association — AGM Notes & End‑of‑Season Message
Dear Lakeview Residents,
As we wrap up another memorable season at Lake MacDonald, I want to extend my sincere thanks to all of you for your continued engagement, support, and community spirit. Every summer reminds us why Lakeview is such a special place, and 2026 was no exception.
A heartfelt thank‑you goes out to our event organizers and volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to make our gatherings enjoyable and meaningful. From the early‑season meetups to the mid‑summer activities, your efforts helped strengthen the bonds that make our association thrive.
We also want to acknowledge the difficult moments this season brought. The tornado on July 21 left a significant impact on many residents, cottages, and families. To those who are still dealing with repairs, insurance processes, or the emotional weight of that day, please know that the LRA stands with you. Our community’s resilience and willingness to support one another has been inspiring, and we remain committed to helping wherever we can.
Attached below are the meeting notes from the Annual General Meeting held on August 29, 2026. They summarize the discussions, updates, and priorities that will guide our work heading into next year.
As we look ahead to the 2027 season, we do so with optimism and enthusiasm. We’re excited to continue improving our shared spaces, strengthening community involvement, and building on the momentum of this past year.
Thank you again for being part of what makes Lakeview such a welcoming and vibrant community. Wishing you a safe and restful fall and winter and looking forward to seeing everyone back at the lake next season.
Warm regards,
Gordon Vaughan
President LRA
